Personality
Pan has a very fickle personality. At times he is easy to get along with and pleasant, and others he is sorrowful or agitated, and will play means tricks on those unlucky enough to cross his path.
Due to his getting separated from his family in his previous life, and then eventually succumbing to the elements- he harbors a longing for the company and love of his owners, and an anger toward them for never coming to find him and leaving him to die. He resents his former owners for abandoning him, but loves them still in his soul for the care and kindness he remembers from when they were together.
With a blend of both this love and hate and longing, his personality as an esk has become something like deviance- but playful and mischievous would be more accurate.
Pan likes to play games and tricks on human, esk, and animal alike. Those that wander into his boundary will often be met by a round of pranks and jokes, and find themselves lost and confused within the maze of the many buildings, and rusted, overgrown attractions. He has an especially good time making things move or creak from in the shadows, just to give people a fright, or set them on edge- all in good fun usually, though if he's in a bad mood he will do it excessively, and send others running into the hills with terror in their eyes.
He has a very good handle on every inch of his boundary, and he knows all the places that make the best creepy noises- a floorboard here, a loose gate there, that one horse on the carousel, etc. He is a master manipulator of his boundary and has an almost supernatural control with it- given enough focus and energy he can even make some of the long dead lights and speaker flicker to life, or crackle with static- you know, for extra scare factor.
When Pan isn't playing tricks or scaring others, he can be generally cool to hang out with, and he's lots of good fun to play and romp around- or even just go exploring.... given you catch him in a good mood, he may even take you to some of the better spots in the amusement park.
But beware, Pan's personality is quick to change and you might just as quickly find yourself on the end of a trick as you found him as you might be to find him looking to tumble and play.
He is a generally fearless guy, but there is one thing that terrifies him and has him hiding away- thunder and lightning. He generally can stand rain if it's just a drizzle or a spot shower, that doesn't really bother him- but as soon as the weather starts to turn foul and thunder begins rumbling, he's gone. He hides himself away in his funhouse and buries himself under cushions and whatever else he'd brought in there, and he will not come out until long after the storm has passed.
This fear of thunder and lightning is a lingering thing from his past life as a dog- and what ultimate got him separated from his humans, and then eventually Lost.
